
So so blessed on this HK trip 😌 One of my wife's best friends organised this dinner for us in this charmingly laid-back (by #japanese standards anyway) #omakase place in Wan Chai. The stuff was so good that one of the others went "I didn't know vegetarian food could be this good" Success! 🥳 The price was ridiculously reasonable at just over HKD400 including service, for what was essentially a 10-course meal served in 7 stages. This being the #summer menu, there was an emphasis on cold foods (thus cold appetisers, cold #ramen, and a #sushi plate that was noticeably larger than the servings of #tempura or #yakitori 😋) My favourite was the #enoki wrapped in #deepfried #tofuskin (playing the role of bacon). But honourable mentions to the #sweetbean #gunkan and the #sorbet at the end (which they substituted in for whatever dairy ice-cream was on the regular menu) Argh 流连忘返 🥰
