This #veganbirthdaycake was created by Chef Jenny after I asked if I could order a cake with frosting for my birthday dinner. It was a wonderful #carrotcake with #almond frosting. The cake was so moist and dense, almost brownie-like, which I love, and was packed with #carrot shreds, walnuts, raisins, cranberries and almond pieces. The spiced flavor was sublime. And the drizzled frosting was soooo almondy and was not too sweet, just right! I loved the cocoa powder decorations on the plate, which added to the festivity. Jenny said this was the first time she tried this cake, explaining the care she took in choosing her vegan ingredient substitutions. She was so excited about the result that she asked for a taste, which we loved!!
