Taukwa (aka fried tofu) is a regular fixture in Lian Xin's daily pick-your-dish assortment and I finally got around to trying it #forthedollar. Why I took so long, I have no idea. This fried tofu block was plump and succulent inside, delightfully fried and lightly brushed with sweet chilli sauce outside. Tip: help yourself to the sambal chilli here because it pairs so well with the taukwa.
Some staff cannot speak English. But those who can speak English are very helpful and are quite knowledgeable about what dishes are vegan. The breakfast economy beehoon has heaps of side dishes to choose from. The fried tofu is creamy and savory.
