My favourite place in SA is when work is getting out of hand, Asher’s Farm
Sanctuary can calm a soul.
I really enjoyed The Mediterranean, it was full of colour, perfectly seasoned and delicious 😋
It was a #flatbread, more a crepe or tortilla, topped with #hummus, #lettuce, #cucumber, #carrots, #sweetpeppers, ch*ckenless strips (not crispy) and cargrilled #eggplant which was the star of the dish, this was really delicious. A plate full of good food, a huge portion.
What I love about Asher's is their welcoming committee. Bubbles 🐖 was snoozing (on the job 😆) and did not even open one eye but sniffed my hand in a very irritated way, I did not take any offense as she still allowed me to scratch her snout. Cloudy 🐑 crew so much, I did not recognise her, those eyes, oh my soul, she is a beauty queen. Grace ignored me as always. The owner's dogs alwayscomes for a scratch, I mean, does it get better than this? I missed Mr. T 🐄 and the 🐎 tho.
There was a big group of people going on the free tour, non-vegans and that gives so much hope, just maybe...
As always our waitress was super friendly and did not want to get involvelved me fighting hubs for his milkshake. Victor (chef) always comes to say hello and the owner, 'g'veret asher ve bat', always happy to see them, precious salt of the earth people.
