Review of Cold Brew Coffee and Boba Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert - Trader Joe's by hereforareason

Points for originality! 🧋

I bet this was inspired by the famed brown sugar boba ice cream bar. Luckily for us in the U.S., the Trader Joe’s option is 1. way cheaper since it doesn’t have to be imported and 2. vegan!

Unfortunately, I was expecting (not just hoping, but fully expecting) to love this, and it was kind of meh.

The boba was somewhat chewy (not frozen rock solid), but not with the same level of satisfaction as in the bars or in boba tea. The cold brew coffee ice cream flavor was mediocre. Although the problem could be that I’ve gotten bougie with my coffee selection? 😅

Not sure whether I’d get it again, but I love that it was created and that it’s vegan! The concept is good, so if they refine it, I could see it being a favorite.
