Potato376 avaliaçõesHot pot for one 😆✨ The broth was PROPER spicy, which I was surprised by as Wagamama’s main customers are not really Asians. It was warm, spicy, sweet, tangy and perfect. I loved it. Tteokbokki and veggies inside were great too, they made such a satisfying meal overall. Except this one BIIIG downside.. which was the tofu. It had this gross jelly-like texture and chemical-y taste. Real tofu has neither of those characteristics. It had no soy flavour, and I struggled to swallow a piece each time I bit into it. I really hope they’ve changed the tofu by now because that was one of the worst tofu I’ve ever had.Tofu hot pot

Still a lot better than the new vegatsu and overly salty ribs and I did enjoy this dish, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. I would’ve liked more variety of veggies inside, more sauce, and fluffier rice. Wagamama is on the pricey side so I honestly don’t think their food is worth the money at this point.Raikusaree tofu
leswift1 avaliaçãoI ordered the veggie not the vegan version of this (no.47 on the menu) from the leicester branch and it was awful. I should say I'm a huge fan of wagamamas and the staff replaced the dish free of charge but I'd have really like to have known about these reviews before I ordered. I should have checked. It was extremely bland, lacked all of the flavours you'd expect from a pad thai and the tofu was soft and mushy. I guess some people might like that(?) but to me it felt like they'd use silken tofu more suited to desserts than the firmer variety. Because its fried and then added in, it has none of the flavours you'd expect if it was cooked as part of/in the dish. My replacement meal was the spicy vegatsu and it was lovely. I'll know to check food reviews before i order a new dish next time as it seems some of my points have already been highlighted several times over by other reviewers. Not the usual flavoursome wagamama standard.Yasai Pad Thai

The chicken was quite salty, and the buns kinda melted and got stuck inside my mouth 😶 The veggies were shredded nicely though! The taste was quite nice and they were good all in all, but I remember this dish being quite expensive and I don’t think it’s worth the money :(Spicy Teriyaki ‘Chicken’ Hirata Steamed Buns
Potato376 avaliaçõesI used to love vegatsu (and even made it at home sometimes), but now… it felt like it’s been “renewed” but not improved. There was nowhere near enough sauce, katsu used to have more flavor, and rice was a little dry and there was waaaay too much of it. I think they used to use sushi rice (I might be wrong though) but now it’s just some short grain rice. Ngl I was a teeny bit disappointed :(Vegatsu

There was A LOT for a starter though, I can’t eat too much deep fried food at once and I wish they had a smaller size. Also each one was quite long and I just couldn’t bite it off for the life of me, so it would be nice if they were cut smaller too!Vegan Chilli ‘Squid’
