I haven’t had this in a very long time! It’s a #Taiwanese-style #riceball 🍙 filled with ingredients of your choice — think Subway, but rice 🍚 I’d usually get this for #breakfast, but I now go to a different train station in the morning and evening. Since I was around the area last night, I decided to get one for a #snack. Piping hot #FiveGrainsRice + #PurpleRice, #FrenchBeans, #RedBeans 🫘, #Wakame, Black Pepper #Mushrooms and #JapaneseCucumber :) my all-time favourite combo I love the texture of the #rice; it’s sticky yet I could still taste the individual #grains. You can BYO too but it won’t be served in a ball form 😅

This vegan bento set from QQ rice doesn't disappoint! The vegan rice set comes with brown rice with vegetarian floss and sambal chilli, with stir-fry mixed vegetable (mix mushrooms, celery, carrot, bell pepper, Beancurb skin) as the base. You need to choose another 2 more side dish to complete the bento set which I chose brocoli and mushroom. Firstly, the sambal chilli perfectly hit the right note, with the right amount of sweet and sour taste to it. I would say this is the best sambal chilli I have tried thus far. The chilli mixed well with the rice and the vegetable, and enhance the entire bento. Then came the mixed vegetable. The sauce is really good and flavourful with a balance mix of sweetness and saltiness, and the vegetable and mushrooms are all well marinated. Lastly, I love that I not feel a lingering msg aftertaste in my mouth after finishing up the bento. It was satisfying and I felt healthy and comfortable eating the dish overall. The only caveat here would be the portion for the side dish is quite small, about 4 pieces of small brocoli with additional 30 cents. Other than that all is good! :)

The petai and vegetarian prawn serving is quite generous, get to choose 2 sides for this bento rice. The oat rise of bento is too hard, harder than fried oat rice. It would be good if this can be improved.

The taste of xiang Chun is quite plain, personally prefer sesame oil mushroom rice, nonetheless it still makes a pretty healthy meal.

This is mushroom and French bean fried rice, come with something tofu-like, corn and a side of your choice, I chose button mushroom and realised it's already a mushroom rice, should have chosen something else like broccoli, bean or peanut to make it an even more balanced meal. This meal would be 100% if the container is not plastic.

Get this at 1.90 offer. The pearl rice is soft, compared to their fried rice or set. Taste ok, only mushroom in oyster sauce, prefer Veg Emperor which has more different flavors.

Mixed grain pearl rice, wakame, burdock mock floss, veg mayo, this is a really healthy and convenient vegan quick snack. One can be a light meal, getting two can be one full meal for me. All 3 vegan rice triangles taste yummy.

I got the 5 wheat rice with Wakame, mushroom meat, Shimeji mushroom and tofu. It was meaty and juicy and flavourful. It’s pretty heavy for a snack and quite light for a full meal. I loved the textures and savoury flavours, will get again.
