Super tasty beancurd and veggies in a mild curry sauce, with rice. Not quite as good as the laksa I had last time I was here, but still very tasty and filling! Seasonal special at Jewel outlet! 🇹🇼 Vermicelli noodles in an herbal broth with goji berries, served with sliced shiitake mushrooms. 🍜🍄‍🟫 Vegan option available without fried egg! They swapped the egg out to fried beancurd skin rolls instead. Overall the taste was rather mild, and I wouldn't exactly call it Taiwanese style (perhaps some straw mushrooms and starchiness plus stronger savouriness to the soup would have reminded me of oyster mee sua?) but this was a comforting homecooked-style dish nonetheless. Seasonal special at Jewel outlet! 🇹🇼 I confirmed with the staff that the mock meat was vegan since their usual crispy soy nuggets in the regular menu aren't; they said they used a different brand of textured soy protein despite using the same name. When it arrived I could tell this was #happiee popcorn chicken which was indeed vegan.
