Again, this is one of the treasures of the stall Dough Magic again. Yes, Dough Magic is that magical. If you look at the rest of my reviews, you'll see that it has a wide variety of vegan options. This particular dish, however, may be my favourite. When I saw porridge in its name, I thought that it would be something bland to the taste. However, this dish is sweet, and more like a dessert. The eight treasures in it are a variety of grains, beans and seeds. There seems to be some significance in eating this dish on the 8th day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar, but it's sold year-round nowadays. After trying the dish at Dough Magic, I'm inclined to believe that the date is ignored because it would be a pity to only be able to consume such a wonderful dish once a year. Judging from the ingredients in it, it's probably very good for your body as well. Did I also mention that it only costs $1.50 for a bowl? :)
