Meet products seem to eternally be on sale at Coles? So bought these again for 5 bucks on special, which feels like a much fairer price for the rather small 250g packet. All the Meet strips have a quite distinctive texture once cooked - crispy and sort of crumbly on the outside, somewhat stringy (in a good way) on the inside. Don’t like the flavour of these ones as much as some of their others, but still tasty. They were a perfect addition to my vermicelli noodle salad.

Very easy to cook. They take about 5-6 minutes in a pan to cook from frozen. I used the strips in a wrap with salad and vegan yoghurt, kind of like a souvlaki. It was soo good. Even my non vegan relative loved it. They can also be used in a stir fry or a curry dish. Ingredients are: Water, Plant Proteins (27%) (Soy Proteins, Wheat Protein), Canola Oil, Pea Fibre, Pea Starch, Natural Flavours, Yeast Extract, Caramel Colour (150a), Mineral (Iron), Vitamin (B12). I've only seen them in Cole's. Not sure if Woolworths have them. #plantprotein #plantbasedstrips

Look - if you like your food to be as “natural” as possible, this probably isn’t going to be for you, but with a fairly good protein to carbs & fat ratio, these are my go-to when I want a change from tofu. I like these strips in a salad, with noodles or sometimes straight outta the pack or, as a snack (dunno if that’s recommended 😆). I generally pay around $5 on special at Cole’s, Woolies have a different packaging for the chicken flavour, which is around the same price. #brisbanevegans #vegan
