I never really missed #steak, as even when I was still eating meat, it wasn't my thing. When I saw this #beyondsteak I had to try it tho. I made it with some veggies and vegan cream. The consistency was really interesting. I actually quite liked it, but what kind of surprise is that with #beyondmeat. It was kind of like getting a fatty piece of meat, without feeling disgusted about it 🤭✌️ #abillion #veganin2025 #veganfood #malta #maltavegan #veganmalta #ifitsnotveganitsnotfood #veganisnotscary #veganproud #vegan #vegansteak
South Asians are good at turning anything into curry, and that’s exactly what I did. I took these Beyond Steak plant-based seared tips and made a Sri Lankan-style beef curry (swipe left for the image 🙈). In Sri Lanka, beef curry isn’t something you eat every day. It’s less common, partly because of religious reasons and also because many households simply can’t afford to make it often. Now, I can’t say how close this is to the real thing since I grew up vegetarian, but there’s something special about taking the recipes you grew up with and making them plant based. I cooked it in a tamarind and coconut milk base, with both raw and roasted curry powders and the usual mix of spices. It came out rich, hearty, and deeply familiar. 😇
Tastes so much like crumbled fatty roast beef! Finally I have found my mock roast beef I guess. My family made that kind of thing often growing up during the Holidays so to have something of a similar taste and texture that's guilt free is excellent. Could make a gravy with marmite and do a whole potato root roast with it. Would be really good+(sorry I had to describe it this way but )

It was $6.99 and the regular price is $7.99 or $8.99 which I think is a little steep. But Beyond as done it again! I have yet to find a Beyond product that disappoints. Whether frozen or cooked, these steak tips look like the real thing. It’s scary. The taste and texture are incredibly close, if not the same, as beef. It can easily be passed off to the unsuspecting omnivore or self-proclaiming carnivore. I used the seared steak tips in my homemade pancit (a Philippine dish with noodles, a variety of vegetables and a meat [chicken, pork, beef]). In the Philippines a few months ago, I often ate pancit, but without any meat. So today is the first time I’ve had pancit ever with ‘meat’. The overwhelming majority of vegans ate beef in their former life, so I’m sure everyone is familiar on the potential uses of these steak tips. These steak tips are loaded nutritionally. Some of the values in the Nutrition Facts are off the chart! I will definitely get a few bags of this again when it’s on sale.
