Spicy Tempeh

Fiery and deeply soothing, at RM11 this #spicy #tempeh represented good value. As a side dish or add-on, it comfortably feeds two, perhaps even three at a pinch 🙂 The texture is slightly moist on the outside by dint of the spicy marinade, in which the tempeh had been left to sit until it was tender and comprehensively flavoured. Tasted excellent 😋 Only issue was the copious use of single-use plastic (see second image) 😕

Pretty unorthodox imo 😌 These cute little blocks of tempeh were cooked with: Turmeric Chilli padi Indian black salt ..and they came out sooo flavourful & addicting :P But damn, I must admit the spicy tempeh blocks were not spicy at all [fine by me] & that they might've been a little too salty (or MSG-ish 🤔) nobody knows :) Nonetheless, well-seasoned tiny tempeh blocks = my kryptonite 😂😂
