We came to Milkwood Deli for their indoor play area so I was pleasantly surprised to find a few vegan options on the menu.
Our waiter, Jeph, recommended this wrap and I'm so glad he did because it was fabulously yummy.
In the Wrap It Up Amigo:
Smokey refried black and baked beans with Avo
Salsa
Lettuce
Chipotle jam
Coriander
Gremolata (parsley, lemon zest and garlic - I had to Google it 😉)
I asked for the Chilli on the side - there was no extra charge for it.
For me, this was a delicious way to get in my beans. I've never been that fond of beans but I know its vital to eat them now I'm vegan plantbased for protein and fibre, so finding creative ways of getting them in is a must for me. These black beans were cooked really well and tasted amazing.
My 7-year-old says this is the best play area he's ever seen and he's having a wonderful time here.
They have two play rooms, a reading room with a mini kitchen area, some toys (including books, Lego and pop-its) and a big blackboard to draw or write on.
And a room with a wooden jungle gym, slides and fireman's pole. I'm sitting at the only table inside this play room and there's a comfy couch in here too. Such a win for parents to be able to keep an eye on their children.
The views are lovely (green, lush golf course this time of year) and the waiter has been on the ball. Service has been fast and friendly.
We will be back.
PS. Note: Milkwood Deli closes at 4pm, I hear there's another restaurant upstairs that stays open later. Off to explore.
