Super juicy; dressing perfectly captured the essence of chicken rice. A convincing local flavour!

A vegan burger take on a traditional dish. You get to choose between grilled or a fried patty (#soy): I went grilled on this occasion. I also swapped the bun for a lettuce wrap for no extra charge, effectively turning this burger into a salad 😉. It was a teensy bit messy with the lettuce, but well worth the swap. The flavours layered beautifully, the combination of sweet soy sauce and the fragrant garlic/ginger chilli sauce. Plus tomatoes and cucumbers (and lettuce). A burger that would impress any hainanese vegan. I know cos I’m married to one, and she dug it 😅 She opted to have the sauces separated from the burger. So they act as dips now. Seasonal Singapore special! Featuring house-seasoned grilled soy ‘chicken’ patty (toothsome and didn't taste too strongly of soy) as well as sliced tomato and cucumber, doused in housemade chilli sauce, ginger sauce, and dark chicken rice soy sauce. 🍗🌶️🫚 The sauces were really on point and this was indeed reminiscent of chicken rice! Fragrant, tasty, and not oily; would recommend ordering this if you like #sglocal fusion flavours. Typically comes with wholemeal bun, but I paid extra to switch to the Halloween set meal with charcoal bun (a not-very-scary skull dusted on with some kind of powder haha), curly fries (yum!), and kiwi witch’s brew (some kind of syrupy soft drink). ☠️🍟🥝 The Halloween set meal is available from 1 to 31 Oct 2023; kind of cute for the gram (seems to be done more aesthetically at the Eunos branch haha) but not a must-try in my opinion!
