
All the components of the dessert were flavourful and worked well together. The cake was sweet and light, but not very fondant in terms of texture.
Il tortino di cioccolato aveva il cuore caldo, ottimo quindi il contrasto col gelato alla barbabietola (per me come sapore quest'ultimo era un po' troppo forte!).
SO AMAZING! The mains were fab but I really thought the dessert was so so great - I shared the assiette platter w my mum so there was the chocolate and plum pudding and also some jelly and sorbets. Definitely recommend for a fancy but affordable dinner out in Edinburgh
For what was branded as a “coulant” cake on the menu, it sadly missed the characteristic ooze from the centre that you would expect. The cake itself was a little stodgy, perhaps explaining why the liquid centre was lacking due to being slightly over-baked. The saving grace of this dish, however, was the beetroot, coconut and whisky ice cream which was wonderfully fresh and flavourful!
