Casa Manila is one of my favourite places to go for Filipino foods and I’m
so glad that they have veganized some of their dishes and I can still enjoy the flavours that I loved before I went vegan. The tofu sisig, while the flavours and the sauce was good, the tofu itself required a lot of chewing. It was a bit hard to chew and eat even tho it tasted good. I think they could improve on the tofu texture, it was cut up in small cubes and was hard rather than crunchy but maybe it could be have a softer crunch and similar texture to a TVP.
Second pic: The fried garlic rice came as a combo with the sisig is always good and flavourful and glad that this is already vegan.
Third pic: the vegetable chopsuey which is also vegan was good and tasty, I wish there was a bit more veggies for the portion, considering its almost $15. You wouldn’t be able to order this dish alone and have to buy rice on the side.
