
One of my favourite Vietnamese dishes:) I used to get this from the Vietnamese restaurant in Ottawa in as a kid. This version felt super authentic and was exactly as I expect! Soft subtle flavours, full of herbs and a slight tang, with some intense umami from the spring rolls! Yum!
Had this Vietnamese Bun Cha Gio (bo bun) on day 1 of my trip in Ho Chi Minh City and it was just as lovely as the café-restaurant that offers it! A refreshing yet filling kinda dish which you can’t go wrong with. It has a basis of thin rice noodles, and is topped with crunchy veggies, 2 big sliced fried springrolls, and peanuts for some additional crunch! The generous serving comes with a vegan sweet fish sauce to spill on the wholesome ingredients. 40k Vietnamese dong only this really well prepared dish 🤗 A rather average price for a hearty meal in Vietnam, but I’d say this meal is slightly above average in terms of quality ;)) The café mostly serves vegan drinks and food, is super charming, and has the kindest owner!!
