Good God, this burger was fantastic. Not only is it hands down the best burger I’ve ever had, but it’s also housemade. Most restaurants don’t go to the lengths that Alice & Friends’ does. Like nearly everything on their menu, the patty and the cheese are housemade. The lettuce was fresh, the pickles and tomatoes were cut thick, and the pretzel bun was the sugar on top (it literally tasted like sugar - in a very, very good way). And the fries? Didn't last five minutes on the drive home. Good golly, I have never had such addictive fries in my life! They had the perfect amount of softness, yet crisp. The oil sticks to your fingers and leaves you with delicious crumbs to kiss off. After some further research into the restaurant, I found out that they compost nearly 100 lbs of food waste every week and have eliminated roughly 90% of plastic within their business. The takeout containers are compostable, and they have chosen to offer a seasonal menu, so everything you order is good for you and the planet (by eliminating unnecessary waste and emissions). Their sauces are house-made, and their cheese is house-made; I mean - what isn’t house-made here? I can’t get over the love and care that goes into Alice & Friends’ Vegan Kitchen's operation. This is my number-one restaurant of all time.
