The semi chocolate spread is made from apricot seed kernels which were being thrown away by farmers, but are now used to make a variety of products and even profitable by popularity! This spread is an alternative to nut butters and has similar consistency and color. It is sweetened with sugar and vanilla extract. Apricot seeds are said to be high in antioxidants, but I wouldn’t call it “healthy” as it’s quite sweet. It takes less water to make then nut butters and produces lower CO2 emissions. This product is free of gluten and palm oil.
