Minced Savoury Soya Rounds

The Johannesburg High Court recently extended the interim interdict halting the DALRRD’s instruction to the Food Safety Agency to seize meat-analogues with “meaty” names until 8th May 2023. However, Woolworths is preempting having to repackage all their relevant products with their Plantlove rebranding as well as including other great vegan products in the range. We do love the tongue in cheek renaming of the “meaty” products though. Doubt whether any non-vegans are going to be confused that MINCED SAVOURY SOYA ROUNDS are plant-based and not made of meat. Thankfully though, packaging photography clearly shows that should they want to try it, it’s a burger pattie and can be cooked and eaten as such. We of course know that these are “chicken-style” burger patties and we are LOVING THEM! It’s our new favourite! From the texture to the flavour, it’s a winner all the way for us!
