I got some fresh corn cobs the other dayš½. Theyāre so sweet and delicious eaten
fresh. And I thought Iād use the rest to make a bean and corn salad, with half the corn kernels charred on a cast iron panš„ (I donāt have a grillāor a backyard for that matterāand this is my secret weaponš)
Instead of the usual black beans, I tried this boxed #cannellini beans this time. Theyāre a bit mushy, but not too bad (probly better for bean dips/spreads though). Itās good that theyāre salt-free since I always give canned/boxed beans a good rinse anywayšæ And, I also always save the liquid, the magical aquafaba, to use laterš©š»āš³
I think Iāve confessed my preference for the box over the tin before. But Iāll say it again: I LOVE IT š¦ā¤ļø Plus, the material is #FSC certified, i.e. from responsibly managed forestsš³ Whatās not to love?
