Honestly I was expecting to hate these. I liked #bacon before I became vegan, but

these looked pretty realistic yet very weird at the same time when I saw them raw in the packaging.

But I really enjoyed them, the taste is simple and I donā€™t notice any herbs or spices. Just a mild savoury taste and good amount of smokey flavour from being #smoked over beechwood.

I fried them in a pan with some oil and I was able to to get them to have that dry crispiness with a subtle chewy texture, which is how I used to like my bacon. The texture was a lot more realistic than I expected and I found it very pleasant to eat! They donā€™t feel as fatty and greasy as real bacon, even when fried in a good amount of #oil but otherwise Iā€™d say the texture is similar.

The packaging says itā€™s been made with a minimum of 60% #recycled plastic. I cannot find anything about the packaging actually being recyclable however.

šŸ’µ~28 NOK at Kiwi. Each pack contains 6 slices. The product is #palmoilfree and is based on #peaprotein and #potato protein, as well as pea strach, #sunflower oil and various thickening agents.

I will 100% purchase these again. I used them to fill a #wrap but Iā€™d really like to try them with some creamy pasta another timešŸ˜‹

Veggie bacon. Tasted really good! I recommend using oil instead of vegan butter when you

fry these. They cost 28kr at Meny

This goes very well in sandwiches with other ingredients, on its own not so much.

But still a great alternative if youā€™re missing bacon! #abillionlove

I havent had meat in 15+ years so im so lost at what to do

with things like this haha. Might have fluffed it up bc i froze it since it had expired and then i just cooked it in the airfryer instead of in oil as the packaging said šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I wouldnt buy it again bc its not really my cup of tea but im sure its fine if you crave something smokey and cronchy, way better than eating actual animals ofc
