Organic Fresh California Black Figs

It’s finally fig season! The green varieties are my favorites, but I still couldn’t resist

picking up a box because I love them all (I think these may be Brown Turkeys, though I’m no expert.) They are somewhat firm and mildly sweet, but not as jammy as I’d like. While they were a bit underwhelming in the flavor department, they make a beautiful addition to charcuterie boards and can be refreshing when eaten with something that’s already sweet.

Pretty good quality and fresh! Could use more eco friendly packaging

I thought #fig season wouldn’t start until August… But I won’t complain when they show

up early🤗
These babies are plump, moist and taste like jam with whiffs of freshness. Sometimes when I wait a bit longer, but not too long, I’ll be rewarded with extra syrup leaking out of them😋
There’s just nothing else I can think of that’s comparable to a fresh and ripe fig💜
