I post this here to say that when it comes to tofu, I think it's fine to shop by price comparison. This tofu at TJ's was a dollar cheaper than the one at my usual supermarket and I never notice a difference in taste or texture when it comes to this type of tofu.

We love tofu in our house, and although we used to gravitate to extra firm tofu lately we have been enjoying firm tofu in all of our dishes. This tofu is SUPER affordable, and it drains well and cubes up nicely to be tossed in the air fryer with a little cornstarch, paprika and a pinch of salt. Wonderful on a bowl of stir-fried noods, in ramen, or by the handful if you’re a tofu fiend like me.😜

Meal prep Sunday again☀️ It’s basic but you can never go wrong with #tofu✌🏼💚 And you can (more often than not) never go wrong with Trader Joe’s :)
Here’s what I often do with it, simply pan fry sliced pieces with coconut oil on all sides until golden and crispy. Now a block of blah becomes all sorts of possible quick and easy meals. I’d wrap them in nori sheets, re-fry them with green peppers, dip in sauces as snacks, chopped up and make frittata with them, etc. etc.
For dinner, I reheated a few pieces with coconut aminos and added them to my noodle soup 🍜 The soup base, made with kelp and shiitake, was also batch cooked for later.
There’s some upfront work, but the satisfaction I get while putting together a yummy homemade meal in a few beats never gets old😇
