I have to admit that I've never been a fan of #risengrøt, or #risgrøt as
we say where I live, but it was at least edible. I probably wouldn't make it again though, because there are better foods out there for me than this.
I made this #rice based #dinner with soy milk, which made the color be kind of different from the white colors that I remember from childhood, it actually had a hint of yellow? Perhaps it's from the vanilla aroma, I don't know. I'm also not sure why, but the food was still quite liquid after it had simmered for 7 minutes, so I had to leave it to cool on the stovetop for a while in order for it to thicken up so I wouldn't need a soup ladle to put it on a plate, maybe it's because of the type of milk I used 🤔
I added cinnamon, butter and sugar on top of the plated #porridge as is the traditional way of eating this, but the sugar just seemed to disappear, I couldn't taste it at all, it was rather odd.
This is sold in pretty much any grocery store, took me a while to find it at Coop Extra, it was not where I thought it would be. Price is like, 25-30 NOK, I think.
