#primotomatosauce #tomatosauce I recently made a rigatoni and meatballs dish for a family get together. Of course, all the ingredients were vegan/plant-based. In it, I used two types of tomato sauce. Primo Thick & Zesty Garlic & Herb was one of them. I love Primo tomato sauces. As the name on the label suggests, the sauce was indeed thick and zesty, and it certainly had a hint of garlic. Oddly, basil appears in the ingredient list, yet it wasn’t explicitly listed as an ingredient for Primo’s Thick & Zesty Tomato Basil sauce. My whole family, all of whom are not vegan, loved as pasta dish. A couple even complimented me on the sauce. admittedly, I added garlic, diced onions, and some spices to the two cans of sauces. I wish there was less sodium/salt in many foods, particularly tomato sauces. Just 1/2 cup of sauce has 19% of your day’s recommended sodium. This is way too much, in my opinion. On the bright side, there’s a fair amount of fiber, potassium, and iron in that 1/2 cup serving. There’s also very little fat. I buy Primo tomato sauces regularly and will continue.
