I was so excited to find this at #asda after being refused to purchase it at #sainsburys (they had it on the shelf but you couldn’t scan it, so they said they couldn’t sell it 🙄). This was a disappointment. It didn’t taste anything close to pepperoni. It was just a generic faux meat flavor that I’m not a fan of. Husband liked it, though, but he never liked pepperoni pre-vegan. Wasn’t the biggest fan of this, but maybe that’s because I was using it as a chorizo alternative in a recipe and was expecting more flavour? The texture was dense and smooth and I wish it had been fattier/chewier. It was pleasant but not mind blowing and I wouldn’t rush to get it again, though maybe one day I’ll do homemade pizzas with it as a topping more thinly sliced #veganmeat #fakemeat #mockmeat #pepperoni #seitan
Ok flavour and texture but it’s really annoying you have to slice it yourself from a big block as this takes time, and I can’t get it thin enough for my pizza without a meat slicer. I would rather get less pepperoni in the package and have it already sliced. I probably Wouldn’t buy this again.
The best vegan pepperoni I have tried! I am so happy 😀 I tried it on pizza, obviously but also chopped and stir fried with pasta. Will definitely buy it again
