Brightening UV Sunscreen & Skin Primer with SPF 50

Reviews by abillion’s vegan community

Starting this review from when I first received the product, I was pleased with the eco-friendly and sustainable packaging, which included a carton box, paper tape, and paper bubble wrap. It's great to see a company that is so committed to their values and the environment. The label on the jar could have been better though. I could barely tell if it said SPF 50 or 30, and the directions weren’t readable at all. The sunscreen itself is impressive, with an almost scentless, white, and smooth texture that works well on the skin. Even if left at the rim of the jar, there are no chunks or crusts. The tiny, 300- mL jar looks cute too! It works well protecting the skin from sunburns and general exposure to its UV rays. However, I noticed that my forehead develops small dots of acne whenever I use it. For a while, I couldn’t tell if the dots on my forehead, concentrated between my brows, were an allergic reaction or simply my skin adjusting to the outdoors after staying home for three years. Overall, while I'm impressed with The Eco Shift's commitment to creating a high-quality product that's both effective and ethical, I cannot recommend this sunscreen for people with oily skin prone to acne.
