Taste/bite: Salty and smokey flavour, very pleasant. This tofu can certainly satisfy all lovers of smoked meat products and offer the generous health benefits of eating tofu instead of meat! Nice bite, a firm, resilient texture that bites through easily. Very easy to cut into cubes for salads etc. Can be eaten cold or heated.
Ingredients: Organic. Tofu from organic European soy and soy sauce. Smoked on beech wood (and not by friction, as the erroneous French label writes 😂) Apart from a pretty high salt level (1,7 g per 100 g of product), this is a product you can eat very, very regularly. 19 g of plant protein per 100 g.
Shape/Conditioning: Single sheet transparent airtight sealed plastic pouch. Complete nutritional info on labels on both sides.
Price: I paid 3,70 € (February 2023) for a total weight of 200 g, it can be found a bit cheaper in other organic stores. Reasonably priced. This is high quality. You bet I will buy these again. They have many other versions and marinades too.
