I don't usually like gluten-free and refined sugar-free products, but these are surprisingly tasty! They are a little dry, but have a rich chocolate taste that's not too sweet. The chocolate chips and hazelnuts are great. I love that the bag is compostable, but I do find it very hard to open.
Nice little tasty biscuit quite dense in flavour better with a cup tea. #vegan #veganbiscuits
The full name of these biscuits is: vegan double chocolat hazelnut. 🇨🇭This swiss brand becomes more and more visible over here. 🍪Ingredients: Absolutely positive is the use of natural organic ingredients. Palm oil free, they use coconut oil and the chosen oats are gluten free. The presence of hazelnuts and oats gives these cookies a reasonable protein content of about 6 g per 100 g of product. Total absence of colouring and preserving agents and other chemicals. It’s only a pity they don’t specify what kind of salt is used, knowing that unrefined sea salt is way better for health than classic table or kitchen salt NaCl. Mind you, this is not healthy food, but a treat, difficult to resist once the package is opened! 🍪😋Taste/bite: Crunchy, small size (see picture where cookie lies on a hand), firm biscuits with a particularly dark, warm, sweet and deep chocolate flavour with notes of caramel. The latter is because they use coconut blossom sugar as a sweetener. Coconut blossom sugar is an unrefined, natural sugar and is thought to have a better glycemic index than cane sugar or refined sugar. This means the sugar is more slowly processed by the body than classic sugar. Even if, to my taste, they could easily reduce the amount of sugar by half, I found the sugar level not as excessive as in some of their other products. 💶😃Price: I paid this bag of cookies 3,45 € (December 31st 2022), for a total weight of 135 g. Not cheap, but compared to other biscuits on the market you get good quality from a brand that goes resolutely vegan. 📦Shape/Conditioning: This bag, which they call a “biscuit share bag”, contains 16 small round biscuits for a total weight of 135 g. The package is single shell and is compostable. Nice artwork and joyous colours, Rhythm 108 put a lot of effort into marketing. 👉The brand has several different flavours in this range of biscuits and I bought several in order to taste, compare and of course review for the benefits of the animals in the sanctuaries.💪💪💪
I loved these little cookies which are perfect for opening up and sharing.
