I have always loved this Soyamigo brand, they have several versions of soy products, ready
to prepare just to add a bit of water to the mixture and wait, then use it in several dishes. Soy again is super versatile 😻
Here we prepared probably the best “torta de milanesa” that I have ever eaten 😋
In the center of Mexico you will find a lot of small business buying this type of “tortas”
But definitely this vegan version is 1000% better 👍🏽
A quick #nerdyfact this type of bread that we used to prepare tortas is called : “telera” and it is a basic one is Mexican cuisine, together with a similar one called: bolillo.
You can use it to prepare tortas filled with so many different dishes
A similar but smaller bread is used to prepare “pambazos”
This bread has few Ingredients : wheat flour, yeast, salt and water —no question is a vegan bread 😀
A fun fact about telera is that in the center of Mexico is very common that in the mornings people are used to eat “torta de tamal” 😜 yes a tamale inside this type of bread 😆
it is the breakfast of a lot of people —of course NOT a healthy choice but for some reason the combination fits well 😉
