This oil is made from wonky macadamia nuts. It can reach a higher temperature than olive oil without losing nutrients and ability so it works for frying (& everything else) which is great. Macadamia have lots of amazing health benefits so I thought I’d try it out. It’s completely clear in colour and has a nice round consistency. A bit sadly, it doesn’t taste massively like macadamia nuts - it’s extremely neutral. But this does make it really versatile. I think it would be great in baking, sweet frying and for desserts - so far it stir fries well and it’s been nice as a salad dressing ingredient. Soilmates also produce avocado oil from wonky avocados and have a no-waste ethos. I love the packaging. And good for body & soil is an excellent tagline.
