Simply Gum has grown and now offers additional treats, including these peanut butter crispies.
These have a super satisfying crunch. The crushed peanuts, quinoa crips and brown rice crisps are sweetened with coconut sugar and covered in dark chocolate. These are certainly delicious and would be a good treat for those who don’t like overly sweet chocolate as the coconut sugar packs less of a sugary punch. As a former Butterfinger lover, I could have used more sweetness but still enjoy these.
I don’t think I’d seek these out to repurchase as I’m trying to cut down spending on treats and these just aren’t a favorite…but they are good!
They are not currently on the Food Empowerment Project’s chocolate sourcing list, so I submitted their name. The packaging lists the chocolate as direct trade, so I’m hoping it will be a recommended brand. Simply Gum is an AAPI women-founded company.
