Mixed review. My husband and I shared. I didn't particularly enjoy the kadai curry spice. My husband did. But the product overall was of good quality, and the pastry was delicious and crispy. It came in a nice, strong reusable container too.

I usually get the butter style pies from Simple Truth but mistakenly picked this veg based curry pie up instead 🫣. I expected to like it as the Simple Truth range is generally good! I was not a fan at all. The filling inside was quite tasteless and the pastry wasn’t as flaky as the butter style pie. The mushrooms and butternut had no taste at all. It had a frozen veg taste to it. Disappointing as I love the butter-style pies. A bit pricey for what you get - R80
Super tasty 😋 Great pastry (only on top) and flavourful filling. My 3rd photo was taken 10 minutes before it was cooked through and in my hurry to eat I forgot to take a photo of the final pie. It’s pricey for such a small pie but … having said that I probably will buy again. #veganpie #vegancurry
I bought this pie despite it being quite pricey at R79.00. Once cooked it looked really great and the pastry was nice and flaky. The filling tasted great despite there not being much. My only complaint was that there was not enough filling but the taste was really great. Unfortunately I wont be buying this pie again unless the price comes down.
