This is a very lovely and versatile product! It whips up really nicely and is great for topping on desserts. My favorite use for it is whipping it and folding it into the custard for banana puddings or fruit tarts. I’ve also used it in smoothies and soups to add some creaminess that is difficult to achieve with just plant milks.
This Silk heavy whipping cream alternative tastes exactly like dairy whipping cream. Most other vegan whipping creams that I have tried have a slight coconut flavor which is fine if you're making something coconutty but it doesn't always work. This one doesn't taste at all like coconut. It whips up really nice and fluffy, and it does not collapse like dairy cream does. Let me start by saying that I’m very grateful there’s a heavy cream replacement like this out there because I love creamy mushroom pasta. That’s my guilty pleasure… Anyways. This was a great replacement. Not very delicious, definitely needs salt and pepper to get it to taste good, but great overall!
