With citrus season at its peak, I've been experimenting quite a bit with orange dessert
recipes, and these mandarins were incredibly juicy & sweet!
As I was peeling the mandarins, memories of making these sweet little candles with my grandmother came flooding back. Creating these orange candles only requires some citrus peels, and they are not only inexpensive, but also all-natural, zero waste, and compostable. The added bonus? Your entire house will smell delicious!
You just cut the mandarin in half, keeping in mind that the "wick" is on the stem end of the fruit.
With a small spoon, scoop out the fruit. 🍊
Fill about 1/3 full with oil.
