Two weeks ago, when it was still spring and before getting back to snowy winter
weather, I came home from work and found this advertisement in our mail box. For once, a really nice surprise. Rivella os kind of the swiss national sweet drink, made with the leftovers of milk production. I used to have it every now and then as a child, then we moved to Italy and I didn't have it for a long time. When I moved back to Switzerland in 2010, I already was lacto-ovo vegetarian and didn't drink it because I couldn't be sure there hadn't been any contact, during production, with animal rennet. But, back then, Rivella already tried to be modern and had launched the vegan alternative, called Rivella yellow. I was there, I remember! It only stayed on the market for a short time, then they stopped production. So now they're trying again and I hope this time they will succeed, also because the world has changed, veganism is more and more common and even some non vegans enjoy vegan products. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks and especially during pregnancy I should avoid them, but I suppose with it's 5,2g of sugar on 100g of drinks it's not one of the worst sweet beverage. I tried the content of this cute little bottle and enjoyed it (in two different days 😅😜). It's a sweet but refreshing sparkling drink, good for cruelty free parties.
