RightRice - Spanish Style

I don't remember much about how the Spanish flavor tasted but I know it's a good source of #protein and fiber. Super easy to prepare too! Finally got around to trying this nutritious #rice substitute that I received last year as part of #veganisnotscary! It was really great for a busy week; I had rice and beans for lunch a couple of times (I’ve included a photo, though it’s not a looker,) and it was so cool to have #protein on both sides of the plate. The grains have a mild tomato-and-onion flavor. Although it looks strikingly like Spanish rice, the pasta-like chewiness and lack of grease dispel the illusion somewhat. #toohealthy, perhaps? That being said, it was still tasty. I especially love the convenience/#lazyvegan-friendliness, and I’m looking forward to sampling the other flavors in my pantry!

I was very grateful to receive this product from the vegan is not scary contest. It’s wonderful! I love that it has a nice amount of protein and fiber. I will say I don’t love the smell of it, but the taste is great! I was following the cooking directions, but I find that right rice is a too watery if I do that. Instead I let it boil for 2 minutes, let it sit covered for 14 minutes and then fluff it and let it sit covered for 4 minutes. Then it is perfectly cooked for me. It’s super easy to prepare. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future. #veganiseasy
