These sandwiches were pretty nice and I was pleasantly surprised because I thought they would

just taste like dry tofu! The seasoning was really good and they were quite flavorful, texture was nice and moist too! “No Egg” products I’ve had before hadn’t been the best until I came across this one, Sainsbury’s got it right 👏

I always appreciate an sandwich option that isn't falafel & hummus. Even better, a tofu

option!

👍 Tastes exactly how I remember egg and cress! Lovely, filling is delicious and mildly seasoned. Brown bread is high fibre and tofu is high protein. A cheap on-the-go option.

👎 Could do with more generous filling for the price. Also contains plastic packaging as most meal deals do.

I would never eat type of sandwich pre vegan because I was never big on

eggs, but I know what the filling tasted like. I can’t believe how close this is! I had to keep reminding myself it wasn’t egg so I could finish it. Not that it wasn’t good, just that eggs always weirded me out. A hard to find but decent sandwich 😊 #veganisnotscary

Now Sainsburys are also in the game with no egg and cress sandwiches joining M&S

who have been selling them for two years.
The difference is that M&S uses beans to mimic that starchy yolk texture while Sainsburys uses tofu.
I knew I was going to like it because of the tofu and it did not disappoint as it had that soft egg texture yet it was seasoned nicely.
