This… is blowing my mind. HOW is this not prawns?! The texture is bang on,

so is the flavour. My dad actually asked me “this hasn’t been mislabelled, had it?!”
Will definitely be buying this again. Aldi should use these “prawns” in more products.

I’ve never have real prawns before so I have nothing to really compare this to.

I was super excited to try it.

I really enjoyed it, it tasted lovely and fresh, with a light taste of seaweed/fish. Texturally I could do without the lettuce inside, but I typically don’t enjoy salad things in sandwiches so that’s a “me” issue. The bread was nice and soft- a standard I’ve found with Aldi sandwiches. The prawn texture was interesting but soft and pleasant, I’d be curious to hear whether it’s realistic in texture!

I’ve only seen these prawns in sandwiches so far, I’d like to be able to buy them chilled so I could add them to my own meals.

A definite grab if you do see this in your Aldi, although marked as “Limited edition” so very likely to disappear soon.

The texture of the "prawns" is spot on. I had to try this after seeing

another review on it. They also taste very much like prawns it's actually scary. I'm not a huge fan of the sauce but it's tasty generally. I wish it wasn't limited edition just for veganuary because I would eat this in the summer months.

Really good taste, but the texture put me off. It’s exactly how I remembered prawns

to be, so much so that I thought I was eating real prawns…
