Richly #spicy and #tomato heavy #nduja paste. It's not quite a pasta sauce but I decided to use it that way 😅 I need to add my own fake mince, diced aubergine, and basil in order to give this more texture and bite, but it offered this greasy moisture and fiery colour to the whole plate, so I was happy 🙂 I'm having lots of stuff from Plant Kitchen lately; my food's air miles are almost as bad as mine 😬 And there's more to come
I hadn’t had this flavor of paste/sauce before so was excited to try it. I made Split daal and moong with onion and garlic then added the paste toward the end of cooking. I used just over half of the jar for a huge pot. I probably should have used the whole jar because the flavor was mild. It essentially tasted like spicy pepper sauce. Nothing outstanding and probably not Something I would get again. #m&s #plantkitchen #sauce #paste #nduja
This was the first shop bought nduja alternative I have tried and it did not disappoint! The smokiness is perfect and it has just the right amount of spice! For a tomato based product it is slightly on the pricier side, but perfect for a nice treat dish!
