Plant Butter with Olive Oil

Aside from the inclusion of palm oil, this is a really great #veganbutter spread that makes it so easy to #ditchdairy! I’m generally more of a #butter sticks gal (it’s better for baking,) but this tub was on sale for $2.99 at Hy-Vee. I also don’t mind the plastic in this case, as I have only 3 containers in my kitchen currently and plan to reuse this one to house leftovers/dressings in the future. This spread tastes great on toast or in cooking! I recently used it to make a simple pasta sauce with garlic and fresh basil. It’s lightly #salt-ed, but not overwhelming; there’s no obvious #oliveoil flavor, either. It honestly just tastes like butter to me, and I know the omnis like it, too, as I spied it in my cousin’s kitchen once. I like that the packaging mentions that this #plantbased product has less than half the carbon footprint of its cruelty-promoting counterpart, as well!

This tastes really great and the texture is super smooth and easy to spread. It's also great for baking- I made banana bread with it! Unfortunately it's still really high in saturated fat even though it's quite a bit less than butter made from dairy, so it's best used in moderation. I'll probably buy this again, especially for baking. #veganbaking #bananabread

My aunt kindly bought this for us so it was fun to try another US plant based butter. 🧈 I liked it but I haven’t found a US one I prefer to Naturli. Thank goodness or it would be even more difficult to go home to UK. This one isn’t so healthy either and has palm oil. I wouldn’t buy it again. #plantbasedbutter #veganbutter 🥕 Yuka: 🔴 Bad 17/100

Country Crock is cheaper and easier to find than some vegan butters. I find that the variation shown here with avocado 🥑 oil is especially creamy and delightful to butter toast or use in recipes.
