Most #tofu is essentially the same to me, so I’m not loyal to any particular brand and like to explore all of the available options for this vegan staple. It recently came to my attention that, in addition to carrying brands like House Foods, #japanese grocer Nijiya also makes their own #organic “cotton” tofu. Regular has a density comparable to other labels’ medium-firm; it can be eaten as-is but also freezes and presses well. Overall, a good product that I would readily repurchase: simple and no-frills, yet the quality is surely there. I don’t recall the exact price, but it must have been competitive (possibly on special) when I bought it, since the one that lands in my basket is usually the least expensive.
