Amla Fruit Powder

Reviews by abillion’s vegan community

Amla berries, also known as Indian Gooseberries, are one of the most antioxidant rich foods in the world!! I started consuming Amla berry powder when I learned from Dr. Michael Greger from nutritionfacts.org that it was very healthy. I was putting it in my oatmeal and smoothies for a while until my local market stopped carrying it. So I decided to order some. Organic India seemed like a decent company so I ordered it from them. In my opinion, it does not smell very good. It kind of smells like fruity dirt. It doesn’t taste the best either. It’s bitter, and tart like a lemon. But I’m not eating it because it tastes good. I’m eating it because it’s good for me. Also, if you put it in a smoothie or oatmeal or something like that it kind of disappears. This product is USDA Organic, Certified B Corporation, Non GMO Verified, Halal, and vegan. The packaging is quite simple and it describes Organic India’s commitment to “Healthy Conscious Living”. This powder was $19.99 plus shipping on Organic India’s website . https://shop.organicindiausa.com/products/amla-1lb-bag?selling_plan=3508044025 Overall, it’s a pretty satisfactory product. I wish it was in compostable packaging and I wish it was Fair Trade if that even applies to this product. #amlaberry #indiangooseberry #organic #halal #nongmo #bcorp #vegan #veganuary2024 #veganfortheanimals #healthy #antioxidants #berries #organicindia #indian #regenerative
