I’ve been feeling under the weather and haven’t had much of an appetite, so I’ve just been drinking this #pho #broth plain. Hopefully the various vitamins and minerals (thank you, #seaweed and #mushroom!) will help me shake this cold. I diluted it with some water — it’s a little on the #salty side — and heated it up in a saucepan. The soup was tasty, but one of the spices was really dominant — I’m guessing star anise, though cinnamon and clove are also likely culprits. I’m not sure if it’s because my sense of smell is wonky right now, but it felt too herbal for pho. However, I’d like to try it again in the future as it’s meant to be served, with rice noodles, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of fresh lime. I believe this little carton was $0.99 #groceryoutletfinds

I love the fact this product is organic and has some fortified vitamins in it! It is extremely high in sodium, which is unfortunate; one cup has 950 mg of sodium. The taste is so-so but doesn't taste like it has a lot of sodium even though the nutritional label is there to inform. The packaging is unsustainable / compostable but is able to be recycled.
I'm a huge fan of all the Ocean's Halo products I have tried and this pho broth is definitely a new favorite. Quite a nice base! Flavorful and easy to build on to. Convenient. Expensive for a soup broth, granted it is a specialty product.
