Salted Caramel Ice Cream

Great taste and texture. It is so smooth and creamy.

Was soll ich sagen? Das Eis ist einfach lecker. Oatly hat es drauf. Nicht vegan lebende Menschen merken keinen Unterschied und fragen 'das ist vegan'? Ein besseres Lob gibt es kaum. Ich esse es gerne, aber noch lieber mag ich es in meinem Eiskaffee.

This is the first icecream for #oatly that I am trying. I heard they were discountinuing their tubs in the UK, so I had to try it in case they start disappearing elsewhere too. The icecream is a plain #vanilla, it isn’t the super strong ‘in-your-face’ type but it’s very tasty. Decently flavourful while being a delicate and creamy vanilla. No aftertaste of #oat or the #coconut that I can notice. The #caramel sauce tastes exactly in the core of the chocolate coated icecreams I used to eat. It is so good. Perfect amount of #salt to contrast the sweetness of the icecream while still keeping the #sweet flavour of the caramel as well. Unsurprisingly it is based on #oatmilk. It has a thick and #creamy texture that is very nice. It doesn’t feel too dense and has a bit of a fluffy texture to it. It melts well without being watery, it also doesn’t melt too quickly. I did get a layer of oil at the roof of my mouth while eating this, which was an odd feeling but not something that personally bothers me a lot. The #icecream itself does not have an oily feel to it. The consistency of the #sauce was nicely thick and syrupy! Only drawback was that I wish it contained more than 10%. 💵~75 NOK at Spar. Not cheap but not bad compared to other non-dairy icecreams around here. It is #palmoilfree, #glutenfree, #nutfree and #soyfree. The packaging is #recyclable. Very silky and creamy ice cream, with a lovely saltiness and a very pleasant caramel note. It's not too sweet and the price is ok.
