Love using jackfruit as a meat substitute.
I use it in chili, for a mix in

taco's,...
It has a meaty texture, it's give a shredded chicken meat feeling.
Love the taste, I find it's very neutral, a little nutty and love the texture.

Finally got a chance to experiment with young jackfruit! Made some rendang using my mum’s

recipe, absolutely delightful 🤤 Make sure you rinse the brine off and simmer it for longer to let the spices marinate the jackfruit thoroughly ✨ #veganisnotscary

I bought young jackfruit, as I wanted to use it as meat replacement for homemade

gyros 🌯 To be honest, there were so many yummy things in it, I didn't really notice the jackfruit in it that much 😁 it was soft, not too tough, which makes it great 👍 the only minus is after I drained it well and squeezed all water out of it there was very little left (2ns picture). Genial para preparar platos imitando a carne. Sabe a las especias con las que la

condimentes. My second attempt at using Jackfruit, and really happy to find one that was just

in brine. I made a red Thai curry and the texture of the Jackfruit really works so well as a fake chicken protein. Sorry for the messy plating I think I was super exited to tuck in 🤤 luckily this isn't a #ratemyplate app lol #veganiseasy
