I love this product! I think I’ve finally found the perfect plant-based condensed milk at Everyday Vegan Grocer (thanks @simhazel for the rec!) The coconut one wasn’t my favourite because it was.....too coconut-y. But this oat condensed milk is perfect. It doesn’t has a strong taste so it goes great with my favourite hot drink, Milo (a chocolate malted drink). I can imagine all the desserts you can make with this! To keep it fresh, I poured the milk into a reused glass jar. #day3 #veganisnotscary

This, a tub of Woollies vegan cream cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest on an easy vegan Marie biscuit base = the best fridge cheesecake 😍

Bought this oat-based condensed milk to use in a krispie bar recipe that I found from Big Box Vegan:

https://bigboxvegan.com/2022/08/12/super-soft-vegan-rice-krispie-treats/

I modified the recipe by using a different cereal shape and adding spices (which makes the marshmallow look like caramel).

I’ve tried making bars before by just subbing out marshmallow brands and they weren’t exactly right and using this condensed milk really gave them the texture I remember! If I could do this over, I would have used a smaller pan (I used 9x12) to make the bars thicker; I think mine are so thin because of the cereal shape, though. I imagine using vegan krispies would make a much more aesthetically pleasing result.

Had to have a small taste of the condensed milk on its own and it’s so tasty. Would be soooo delicious in a tres leches or a shaved ice scenario!

It is pricey! The coconut version is a little cheaper but does come with a coconut taste. It is definitely a specialty product though!

I bought this oat condensed milk because I wanted to try making Vietnamese coffee ice cream. I have tried the coconut condensed milk before, but I wanted something that has a more neutral taste for the recipe. This is super sweet and tastes exactly like condensed milk to me.
