Fruitsations Unsweetened Apple Sauce

I love me some #unsweetened #applesauce. I add it to my #homemade #oatmeal so mix

everything else that I put in it and of course I like the #flavour that it brings as well. I still don’t understand why they make sweetened sauce, because even the unsweetened stuff is pretty sweet! 😜

It is cheap. It tastes very good. It is an easy way to eat

a health snack.

A good substitute for fats in baking. Use instead of butter.

I bought this applesauce at Metro. I don’t remember how much

I paid, but it was on sale for less than the price of its house brand’s applesauce. So I figured it was better value. Usually Mott’s applesauce is priced higher.

I love applesauce as it’s a healthy snack. I normally eat it on its own, mix it with plant-based ice cream for a snack and always use it as an ingredient in baking (a healthier substitute for oil). In the last photo, I mixed it with thawed fruit (strawberries, bananas, kiwis). This stuff is so good. It should be a staple in every vegan’s household, if it’s not already.

I like that it’s fat-free, but it does contain a lot of sugar; a half cup has 13 grams of sugar (or 13% of your day’s recommended intake of sugar). Thankfully it’s from the apples themselves (sugar is not an ingredient, hence “unsweetened”). Imagine the sugar content of the sweetened version!!

I definitely recommend Mott’s unsweetened applesauce.

This apple sauce comes in cups as well but I’ve had some get pierced in

lunch boxes so the pouches are nice fix to that and you can reseal them. These have no sugar added and pretty much taste like cooked apples. I personally prefer apple sauce with cinnamon but this sauce is simple but good.
