Fans of Japanese food, vegan friendly Japanese ramen are available at Don Don Donki!
They come
in three different flavours, Tonkotsu (Kyushu pork broth) style, Shoyu (soy sauce) style and Hiyashi Chuka (cold sesame sauce), priced from S$6.90 to S$7.90 for one pack (three servings).
Did a check on the ingredients list on the original packaging (translated labels can sometimes be inaccurate) to ensure the product is vegan friendly.
We bought all three but have only tried the Tonkotsu style thus far. The taste is surprisingly good and legit. The soup has a little sour taste, negligible we would say, but with the right ingredients and toppings, we can really emulate the Kyushu style Tonkotsu ramen at home.
We would have much preferred the dried straight noodles (Hakata style) over the soft wriggly ones that came in the pack but that's just a matter of personal preference.
